This hand crafted hazel thumbstick with gemstone inlays is truly one of a kind. Painstakingly crafted from Scottish hazel and hornbeam and features gemstone inlays at the apex of the fork and above the ferrule. Cornish turquoise, fuchsite mica and purple sugilite are set around a hornbeam riser and catch the eye from every angle. At the tip, a smaller band of fuchsite mica and purple sugilite accent the brass ferrule. Standing at 115cm tall with the hornbeam thumb rest is at 104cm making this an ideal hiking stick for smaller users. At the tip of this hazel thumbstick with gemstone inlays is a custom brass ferrule that features a removable tungsten steel hiking tip and a rubber boot to ensure you have the right tip for the terrain you're walking on. This truly is a beautiful stick and is totally unique - once it is gone, it is gone. - Size: approx 115cm tall, 20mm at the top and 17mm at the base - Wood: Scottish hazel, with bark left intact - Top: forked with gently domed tips on the forks - Shank: has a slight natural curve - Ferrule: custom brass with tungsten steel hiking tip and a rubber boot - Finish: Several coats of 100% natural Danish oil and beeswax. As with all Bough & Burrow sticks, the shank has been sustainably sourced from known sources and finished by hand using only natural materials.
