I'm Dave, and I run Bough & Burrow from my little studio in Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire.

I craft rustic home decor from wood I forage and reclaim in my local area. Each piece—whether it's a tealight holder, wall hanging, lamp or centrepiece—is made by hand from natural materials found within miles of my studio.

How I Work

I work with coppiced hazel and willow, fallen branches, reclaimed timber, and storm-damaged wood. Nothing goes to waste. The wood I use tells its own story through natural grain patterns, knots, weathering, and scars from a past life.

Every piece is unique and finished with 100% organic, natural oils and beeswax. No mass production, no plastic packaging. Just traditional woodworking methods that respect the material and the environment.

Sustainability Matters

All wood is locally sourced—either foraged from a local conservation project, sourced from local coppicing, or saved from landfill. I use hand tools wherever possible and try to transport everything by foot.

Climate-positive craftsmanship isn't a marketing line—it's just how I work. The wood stores carbon, I don't burn fuel transporting it or crafting things, and everything's built to last. Oh and 2% of every payment made through the website goes to offsetting carbon*
