Handmade using reclaimed timber and a vintage silverplate spoon it features accents of semi-precious stones that pop with colour.

A unique, charming and functional centrepiece, this vintage spoon oil burner is hand crafted from a piece of salvaged fence post and a vintage silver-plate spoon. The wood has been scorched by blow-torch, hard edges softened with rasp file then sanded by hand and finished with Danish oil and 3 coats of natural beeswax to bring out the grain and leave a soft and tactile protective finish. The vintage silver-plate spoon, with its natural patina has been hand-bent into an elegant swan neck and is fixed into hand carved recess using a reclaimed pallet nail and two copper wire "staples" transforming an everyday item of cutlery into an eye-catching and functional conversation piece. The sturdy wooden base is adorned with resin-set turquoise and purple sugilite to fill holes where nails had been hammered into the fence post.
