Twisted Hazel Walking Stick with Copper & Turquoise Inlay | HS-002

Natural twisted hazel with custom copper wire and Tibetan turquoise inlay

A beautiful hiking stick with stunning custom copper and turquoise inlays. This stick started life as a raw hazel shank that a friend had been using as a daily walking stick for a couple of years. She wanted it properly finished and personalised. The shank has a natural twist created by honeysuckle vines growing around the hazel rod, it stands approximately 110cm, with my signature Bough & Burrow copper ferrule at the tip, featuring two crushed Tibetan turquoise resin bands and interchangeable tips for use on both hard, man-made surfaces and for more uneven terrain. The top has been shaped to a soft dome and inlaid with a custom copper wire and turquoise design made specifically for the customer. Spare tips are kept in a jute pouch, which features a small wooden charm that echoes the inlay design on the top of the stick. Finished with 100% natural Danish oil and beeswax hand-poured at Rhoose Point Remedies in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales.
