Fork and Spoon Candle Holder

Reclaimed fence post. A vintage silver-plated fork. A spoon. That's it — and somehow it works. One of my best sellers!

The base of this Fork and Spoon Candle Holder is cut from reclaimed timber and blowtorch-charred, which brings the grain beautifully — amber rings glowing through near-black, every piece different depending on where the torch catches it. It's then hand-finished with organic Danish oil and beeswax. The candle cup is the bowl of a vintage silver-plated spoon, set into a hand-chiselled recess so the handle sits flush against the block. Depending on the piece, the hallmark, maker's mark, or a particularly fine decorative detail on the handle faces out — chosen for each one individually. The tines of a matching fork are hand-bent into a coil that grips your taper candle firmly in place — and as the candle burns, a little melted wax pools in the spoon bowl and sets the whole thing solid. The fork handle is recessed and fixed the same way. No two are identical. Different grain, different silverplate patina, different character. Takes standard dinner taper candles.
