A single forked section of coppiced willow, naturally covered in live moss with bark visible between the growth. Hand cut at 100 Acer Conservation Project in the Cotswolds using only hand tools. Each listing shows the actual piece you'll receive. Suited to terrarium and paludarium builds where live moss is desired. Adding springtails is recommended in closed environments — they consume mould, fungi, and decaying organic matter, acting as a natural cleanup crew that helps keep the ecosystem balanced. Not suitable for vivariums housing live animals — this is a living product and may include invertebrates in the moss and bark. Items are not sterilised — doing so would kill the moss and any beneficial organisms present. Dimensions are approximate.
